Tiny Forests Monitoring Day Campbelltown

Tiny Forests Monitoring Day Campbelltown

Join Earthwatch Australia and Campbelltown City Council at the Childs Reserve Tiny Forest for a hands-on morning of citizen science at our community Tiny Forest monitoring day.

In March 2026, you helped plant the Childs Reserve Tiny Forest. Now, it’s time to see how our Tiny Forest is growing! Come along to help monitor its health, growth and biodiversity, while contributing valuable data to ongoing research.

Earthwatch is championing Tiny Forests across Australia, working with communities to plant, maintain and monitor these small but mighty urban forests. Through our citizen science program, participants collect data using our dedicated research portal to help us better understand how Tiny Forests grow and the benefits they can provide for biodiversity and urban environments.

The data collected at Childs Reserve also contributes to an international, open-source research program spanning Tiny Forest projects across Australia, the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

What will you do?

No science experience? No worries! The Earthwatch team will show you the ropes as you get hands-on with a range of fun and simple citizen science activities. You’ll investigate how our Tiny Forest is growing, check on its health and discover the plants and wildlife calling it home.

Every observation you make helps build a picture of how the Tiny Forest is changing over time, giving us valuable insights into how these tiny but mighty forests can support biodiversity in our urban spaces.
