Mizuiku Nature and Water School Program
Brought to you by Earthwatch Kids Teaching Kids Program
The Mizuiku Earthwatch Australia Nature and Water School Program empowers Year 4–6 students to become Water Ambassadors through immersive, hands-on learning experiences through the Kids Teaching Kids Program.
This is a free program with grants up to $1000 for schools. Open to all primary schools in Queensland.
With guidance from Indigenous leaders and Earthwatch Australia water experts, students:

Explore local water issues

Create impactful environmental action projects

Lead peer-teaching workshops to share their knowledge
Participating schools receive:

Access to comprehensive teaching resources

Support to showcase student work through events and online platforms
This FREE program fosters local, national, and global environmental leadership among young Australians.
Applications are now open for the program starting with teacher inductions and professional development sessions in Term 1 2026.
