Community

Earthwatch works collaboratively with community groups, social enterprises and non-government organisations (NGOs) to bridge the gaps between science, community and nature.

We are citizen science program development experts

With over 50 years of global experience under our belt, we are experts in developing and implementing citizen science projects. Accessible for all ages and backgrounds, we develop scientifically robust programs which bring our citizens closer to nature, where no formal training is required.

Our programs adhere to the strictest health and safety standards to keep our participants safe.

Turning the Tide on Bali’s Plastic Problem
Plastic Collective and Earthwatch are working with local NGO Sea Communities and a village-owned enterprise BUMDes Sari Lestari, installing two small portable recycling machines to kick-start a new circular economy in Les Village, a remote fishing village on Bali’s northern coast.

Cumberland Land Conservancy

ClimateWatch Trails

CLC and Earthwatch are working together to bring schools and community groups to walk ClimateWatch trails in the reserve, which hosts critically endangered species. The collaboration helps bolster educational and scientific pursuits while helping monitoring and managing the reserve.
