Run for nature with Earthwatch Australia: 2027 Great Ocean Road Running Festival

Earthwatch Australia proudly works alongside Surf Coast Shire through our Surf Coast Kids Teaching Kids program. This hands-on education program supports primary school students to explore local nature and water challenges and become confident environmental leaders.

By joining Team Earthwatch and fundraising as part of your Great Ocean Road Running Festival experience, you will help Earthwatch bring people and science together to protect the natural world. Your support helps make environmental research, education and citizen science programs possible across Australia.

Choose your event, create your fundraising page and invite your friends, family and colleagues to support your challenge.

Why run for Earthwatch?

When you run for Earthwatch, you’re helping safeguard the natural world for generations to come.

Earthwatch empowers people to take meaningful action for the environment. Through our work, scientists, volunteers, and communities collaborate to drive real, lasting change, with citizen science at the heart of our global efforts to protect biodiversity.

By running as an Earthwatch ambassador, you will help Earthwatch bring people and science together to protect the natural world. Your support helps make environmental research, education and citizen science programs possible across Australia.

Challenge Against Climate Change

The Challenge Against Climate Change is a dynamic fundraising initiative led by Earthwatch Australia ambassador Shaan Boolell. It brings together people from all walks of life to take on personal challenges—whether it’s a half marathon, a 100km multi day run, a beach clean-up, or any activity that inspires you!

In partnership with Earthwatch Australia, Shaan aims to motivate individuals to push their limits for a cause that truly matters. Through the power of collective action, we can create real, lasting change for our planet.

Every dollar raised supports real science and conservation efforts that safeguard the future of our planet.
