Join Earthwatch Australia, TIDY Up Townsville, OzFish Unlimited and Healthy Waters Partnership for the Dry Tropics for the Big Butt Hunt 2026, as part of Clean Up Australia’s Great Spring Clean.
The Big Butt Hunt is a nationwide initiative led by No More Butts Australia. Together, we’ll collect and count cigarette butts (the most littered item in Australia) to help build a national snapshot of cigarette butt pollution.
We’ll also collect other litter encountered along the way. Every piece removed is one less piece of pollution that could enter our waterways and ocean.
Gloves, bags and hi-vis vests will be provided.
